November 2005 NEWSLETTER
Welcome and Welcome Back!
Welcome to all of our new students and welcome back to all of you who are returning. We are so excited about our new studio and the first year of Totally Dancin. This year promises t obe an exciting one! We will be doing many parades and special events as well as hosting our first ever recital in June 2006. Make sure that you take a good look at our expanded class schedule. We offer many types of classes now including baton twirling, ballet, tap, jazz, and hip-hop. In addition, we have classes for performers as young as 2 1/2. Tell a friend!
Totally Twirlin Team Auditions
The baton twirling competition team will be holding auditions during November. All students over the age of 5 who have passed their Level I skills test are eligible to audition. Students under 5 may audition for the Pee Wee Team. Please inquire further with your baton instructor if you are interested. Last yearÕs team did extremely well in local and state competitions. We are looking forward to another successful season!
Join the Totally Parents Team!
Totally Twirlin and Totally Dancin are looking for a few parent volunteers to head the Totally Parents Team. While many of you have already been extremely helpful and have blessed us with your support, the programs growth has revealed the need for a more systematic approach to special events. The Totally Parents Team will be in charge of helping the instructors when we participate in various events, parades, and shows. Responsibilities will include making phone calls about special practices, helping with costume design, props and execution, participating in the event as a chaperone, helping with some fundraising and seeking help from other parents.
Recital Date/Pictures
The recital has been set for June 11th. Group and individual pictures are set for June 1st. More information will be available in January.
T-Shirts/Sweatshirts, Fleece Jackets and Costumes
T-Shirts and sweatshirts have been ordered. They should be in by the end of November. Pick up your fleece jackets at class, or call Christine. Costume tops will be handed out at the group practice on November 13th or 18th.
Fundraising
Fundraising letters are being passed out for our two big fundraisers. We are trying to raise money for our new pom poms, parade expenses, and to create a buffer so we can buy items as needed. These things are for the whole group, so we need everyone to participate, or make your equivalent contribution. Thank you for your help!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING
